What is the most u would pay for.....
A hip hop record, not as an investment but simply to enjoy?

To be honest it would depend on the record, the condition and grading (I prefer 'mint' or 'sealed'), and there are not that many records I can think that I really want I don't already own.

The most I have paid for a hip hop 12" was $320 but that was way over anything I'd ever paid previously (ie $200 more).
As much as I'd love some of the golden age randoms that go for many hundreds $100 has to be my cut off point. |

I paid $300 (when the $ was cheap) for a record one time and i still would pay it for certain records which usually sell for much more (the currency exchance has to be good as well). | |

There is only 1 record i would pay up to £100 for and that is the Von Love EP.
I`m pretty lucky in that i have virtually everything i want nowadays. |

The most i have paid was £46, for Dj Born Supreme Allah. I wouldn't pay more than £15 ( maybe £20 max ) for a tune nowadays. I don't actually have a wants list as such, but there are certain items i'd pick up if the price was right.
Two being Breakers Revenge & Brooklyn Blew Up The Bridge.......... |

nowadays max. $30.--. Used to spend more though, but since I have a family to support I can't spend more these days or even don't want to spend more, prices gone up that much it's sick considering the fact we're talking about a black piece of wax that happens to contain dope music. Everybody hunting for the same obscure shit thru internet, no fun "diggin'" anymore imo.

THink I've paid more than £50 a couple of times, and maybe a couple of years ago I'd have paid up to £100.
Not now though, my money is needed elsewhere! |
