Just started Great Expectations. I've set myself the challenge of reading a Dickens a year - this is my third. Oddly, although they've got nothing to do with Christmas (or winter specifically) (well apart from A Christmas Carol), they seem to suit this time of year.

Had to ditch Great Expectations - wasn't enjoying it at all.

So now on Red Dragon, as well as the second 'Michael Palin Diaries'.

If anyone's interested in fantasy, I can highly recommend Joe Abercrombie's books. Half-way through 'The Blade Itself' and it's bloody excellent!

Just finished Orson Scott Card's Enders Game and its sequel Speaker for the dead. Great sci-fi books.

I'm half way through the next sequel, Xenocide, and I've got all the others lined up (on my ipad) to read next.
