Okay, I believe that there was a similarly named thread on the previous version of EE, so I thought I would take the opportunity to start this new one. Whilst typing this out I'm listening to 'The Heritage Orchestra' by (you guessed it) 'The Heritage Orchestra' (Brownswood Recordings).

It isn't quite what I expected, I bought it after buying the 12" version of 'Sky Breaks' (which is a great tune IMHO). Thus far it isn't an outstanding album, it may take a while to grow on me.

incidently DEE LITE used bringing down the byrds for their 1991 tune "groove is in the heart"

and jamiroquai used "money runner" for his song "travelling without thinking"

been checking the new album by percee p called perserverance even though its new he has a great old school style. its pretty dope so far.

I have to say that the 'Throwback Rap Attack' track is my favourite track off of the album, it is head and shoulders above anything else on there. I'm going to have to pick it up on 12". I'll post the track up in the mp3 section for those who may not have heard this - complete with Stet at the beginning.

bez's madchester anthems - a real trip down memory lane for anyone, like me, who was in manchester in the early/mid 90s

red clay chronicles by anthony david - still getting regular play on the mp3 player, one of the best soul albums released in the last couple of years imo

return of the magnificent by jazzy jeff - a new compilation of tunes by the old school master, probably too new school for some peeps on EE but some great scratching by jeff and a rather smashing new take on a brand new funk, one might say a brand new brand new funk. oh dear.
