Smashback is a producer/DJ of bass-heavy, rave-ready electro and techno based in Manchester, UK. He has released music on labels such as Data-Trace, Militant Science and WIDE, as well as Bass Gun records which he co-runs with Paul Blackford. Smashback is also one of the resident DJs at Electrode in Manchester, the city's leading night for a dose of "off-centre techno, warped electro and bass-fuelled breakbeats". His DJ and live acts have taken him to many clubs around the UK and Europe, such as Blip (Leeds), Substance (Edinburgh), the mighty Bloc festival, and the legendary Atomic Jam in Birmingham.

Smashback recently released his first full album City Parks on Bass Gun records, which was reviewed as ".. an impressive debut album (4/5)" in DJ Mag.

Teutonic Kaboom is another Electrode resident, and has taken her live/DJ act to many a club around the UK such as Atomic Jam, Subvert (Sheffield) and Sequence (Manchester). Her music consists of stripped down electro-step beats underpinned by rude amounts of wob-wob bass, and has been released on labels such as Bass Gun, Data-Trace, Digital Distortions and WIDE.

"Once again, Shrewsbury's Teutonic Kaboom stands out for her ability to find the common factors in dubstep, booty bass, electro and even gabba, and to create a track in 'Rich Creamy Butter', which manages to combine all the above with a gallumphing groove all its own" (Wire Magazine).

“Breaks, electro, techno, ghettotech, wonk. For me it’s all about the party”.

Prgrm is an electronic music producer from the northeast of England. Forging a path somewhere between techno and electro, Prgrm's music evokes the battery-powered daydreams of machines in an unforgiving silicon world. With influences ranging from early electro and Detroit techno to acid house, graffiti and urban architecture, Prgrm's music brings to mind the sparse, evocative futurism of Dopplereffekt or Drexciya with an experimental, glitchy twist.

    • DVNT made a short but mighty return to The Drome for the Fresh Static Electro Special. Breaks, rude bass and upstart electro and techno all the way, with classic appearances from FSOL and Front 242 sounding especially good. Got us all rocking along, filled the club, and set up an awesome vibe for the night!
