Give us some examples of what you mean because I don't know of any new Electro like you described.

I hope that you are not confused with the word "Electro" being used lately to describe the music genre "Electro House". So beware when you see the name "Electro" because in a lot of cases it is not truely "Electro" music but it is truely "Electro House". Are society has gotten lazy & try to shorten up words because it seems to be too difficult to pronounce the whole thing. So when you see "Electro" it might mean "Electro House". I have realized this is the case in the Northeastern part of the USA so when they say there going to spin "Electro" music at a party they actually mean there going to play "Electro House" which does even come close to what true Electro is all about.


So all that cheezy rapping your hearing is probably from the "Electro House" genre & not from the true "Electro" genre.

My fear exactly.........

There's a lot of good music out there, I try to cover as many different flavours as possible on my radio show (but definately NOT Vanilla Ice), personally I think they all have a valid place in the genre, after all this genre has evolved from so many different sources it would be unfair and invalid for one particular group to claim any kind of ownership over it.

would you like to give us some examples?

^An example of cheesy Vanilla Ice raps in an electro record would be Jock D - Start the Party/Freak-a-Thon. Can't really think of any others tho. I'm guessing something along those lines is what he means.
