      press...

Just when you thought that Bass Gun had stopped releasing bloody-good electro, here comes the Sheriff of Stoke (Mazzula) to shoot some shivers up your crooked spine! Mazzula has had a string of solid releases to date on Bass Gun and Data-Trace records, gaining bonus hero points from DJs such as Dave Clarke. This is the first single-artist E.P on the label for a good reason.....itís possibly the best release yet! The first track, Alive, floats along the maternity ward with ease and breaks down into a messmerisingly beautiful pad before giving birth to a slamming break, giving us everything we could ever want in one song (and I mean....everything!!). Next up is Bread and Butter, which simultaneously takes us back twenty years with a ravey little bassline, and catapults us ten years forward with scientific noises and bleeps. How does he do it? Fuck knows, but fans of Radioactive Man will love it! Fly Zen Ben is yet another corker, and the E.P ends by sticking two fingers up at Ridley Scottís music tastes with a rave-storm: Never Liked Vangelis.

      reviews & feedback...

      "wicked! love it all!"
"best ting i been sent in ages!"

      Kiersty (null-void):

"For this release what you get is 4 kicking tracks of electro ready for the rave-floor peaking at Fly Zen Ben and Never Liked Vangelis."
