I remember hearing chipmunk like voices in the background, never knew what they said though........
Yeh i had the same i think all the copies were mispressed unless it was done on purpose.
I can remember reading somewhere about this. It was a mistake but they decided to leave it in as it sounded ok if I remember correctly.
think your right Avvy, seem to remember the same thing, something about previously recorded sound leaking through from the tapes. Tried on quite a few occasions to figure out what the tune playing in the background is but have yet to crack it.

Feck me this is a old post, i remember some one saying the name of the track that was playing in
the background, but i just cant remember the name of it now, it only happens on the N.Y. Vs L.A
on the original dunk yer funk L.A. beats L.P. its clear with out the background noise
There's 2 F.R David songs in there lol.
It starts off with a snippit of 'I Need You' then plays most of 'Words Don't Come Easy' and then finishes with a bit of 'I Need You' again !
How bizarre - I never knew that until now, so had to slow it down to find out. That's some serious crosstalk going on .
I remember Mike Allen mentioning this on one of his shows. He said any copies would be exchanged free of charge.
I'm glad I kept mine now as I always like a bit of FR David whilst listening to my electro.
I don't remember my original tape or LP having this,tho don't have those now to be 100%! I picked out 'Words' aswell! Tho I prefer listening 2 a bit of 'Running(Vocal Mix)-INFORMATION SOCIETY' !
