You would have to ditch that mouse yo..
Seriously, really good track preparation, a few dedicated controllerz, and an azz load of practice.. I think Aux88 rocks reason live. There are lots of ways to get from pointA to pointB these days, make it work for you..

Ya I've been ditched that mouse LOL I got a trigger finger to set off the drum paterns and loops I got a mixer for the levels and a keyrig to play the synths but don't know how to transition between songs ya know
-
Yea, I do know actually.. There are some ways I have come up with, and others on the net I have come across with research.. A lot of it is trial and error though.. For instance, you can run two different pages(songs) of reason open at the same time...
-
Dwellz lay out your set up, from computer out...Maybe I can add an Idea I have tried, or came across..
-
Ok well i got a mac book pro then a behringer rotary mixer key rig 25 and trigger finger but even if i have to pages open how do i switch track smmothly ya know

Hey man,
Ok, what I failed to mention is your sound card needs to be a m-audio fast track pro or something equivalent. The most important feature on this sound card is that it plays to stereo tracks independently(each track or reason page having a discrete channel)with a monitor for your tracks. You then run each of these then to a Dj mixer so you can audition and beat match before you go live with each track.. In the output of each reason song, you have to plan on which tracks are going to be ch. 1&2(stereo) and ch. 3&4(stereo) ahead of time, and save them as such.. The down fall to playing reason live is that you still need a lot of controllers to perform functions( a lot to tote around still ) and a lot of pre production as mentioned above and rehearsal for streamlining..This is the only way I know how effectively at the moment. The cool things about reason live is that it is really stable, and you can use the vocoder live in real time, check out my reply to this thread for a video I posted with this guy doing it( if you haven't heard of this yet.. I listed websites on how to do this also..
I am experimenting back and forth between with reason and ableton for live use.. I am leaning toward ableton at the moment, it is really set up better for live situations..Reason vocoding live in vocoder thread

I don't know if you use ableton, but here is a good video on how to set up your tracks for live use in ableton, by Tom Cosm..Very informative, eye opening really...

thanks for sll your help homie ill check it out
-
You would get better sound quality performing with live right
-
no, I don't thinks so really..The end output all depends on your treatment of the software(any product) and your sound card. Ihave reason sound really good and really bad, same for live..

Here is an interesting article on how to set up reason in a live situation.. Good tidbits here

Good idea for controllers, but pricey..If you check youtube people are making DIY versions of these with even projector screens...
