  • I see alot of stuff here but I am looking for recommendations to newer electro/funk artists that have an old school feel to them. Either incorporating scratching, vocoders, etc... Thanx for any help. I have been starting to broaden my tastes a little but since I haven't been listening to ANY newer electronic music I am a little out of the loop. I am NOT into house or techno tho. Straight up electro/funk. I patiently wait... ???

  • New electro favorites - 2000 & beyond hmm… From the Resident Alien-Machine vs. Man Vinyl the track Signal Loss. Sickest bass line best way I can describe it is bouncing bass. Earthy synths & sick lyrics/vocaders. I believe that’s from 2001. In 2002 2 tracks off the Volsoc- Compuphonic Intelligence record on World Electric. In first place would be the shout outs track. One of my favorite newschool tracks ever. Heavy rotation, mix it with everything. Close but 2nd would be the title track Compuphonic Intelligence. Then in 05 off Alpha 606 - Computer Controlled, The Way of the Machine this track is almost identical to Signal loss as far as the sound & feel of it. Just as good but I only heard it on a mix but I actually just bought this vinyl a couple days ago and still waiting on it.
