Power adapter

    So i just recieved my mopho synth module from the United States.


    They failed to deliver a power adapter "head" for Australian wall sockets.


    I found a "head" for the power adapter but i just dont want to go ahead and try this baby out for my knowledge of power adapters is nil.


    the actual power adapter itself reads :


    Input: 100-240v 50-60hz 0.4A
    Output: 13V---770mA


    the power "head" reads:


    2.5/250v 10A


    Should i slam this baby in the wall and pump out some analog juice or will it melt my beloved unit ?

    good question and one I don't know the answer but you could try an electronics forum who know a bout these things.


    your synth says 0.4A and the power says 10A so might be an issue

    If the input is 100-240v as you say, then it should handle the Australian voltage just fine with that adapter head. The head will easily pass the current that the adapter says it requires. Everything looks good to go.


    I would just plug it in, but if you are unsure, plug in the adapter and the head to the wall first with no Mopho. Then, if nothing unpleasant happens, plug in the Mopho.

    i agree but only because the amperage on the head can handle what the converter requires and ultimately the electrical flow will be dependent on the converter and the unit
