In my opinion the Zebra CM is the best sounding (free) vst synth ever, it`s not entirely freeware it came with the Computer Music Magazine in 2011, but i have to say it`s amazing how it sounds.
Compared to the access virus samples i have on my Hdd there is not much difference.
