I'm new here but thought a few people might be interested in my upcoming EP "SynthFunkatero"
Previews of the tracks can be heard at:
http://myspace.com/vimcortezIt's heavily inspired by the synth-funk sounds of the early 80s. Think Cameo, Shalamar, Shannon, but also early Minneapolis Sound, etc. It's not purist in any sense but I've made the kind of music that made me snap my fingers as a child.
The EP is not quite finished but should be out by mid June. I might release it independently as I'm note sure this could interest a label, but I'd welcome suggestions (and impressions!)
